Patients who are unable to bear the full cost of inpatient or outpatient services at The Modern Hospital may apply for welfare support before receiving any hospital services. Requests can be made by visiting the Patient Welfare Desk or Reception Counter, where our staff is available to guide patients and families regarding treatment costs and available support options.
The Patient Welfare Form can be collected either from the Patient Welfare Department or the hospital reception. As part of the assessment process, the patient and/or an immediate family member will be interviewed to understand their financial circumstances. Applications are reviewed confidentially, and assistance is granted based on defined welfare eligibility criteria, ensuring fairness, transparency, and respect for patient dignity. Where applicable, patients eligible for charitable or zakat-based support may be referred to hospital-approved welfare or charitable bodies for further verification.
In emergency or life-threatening situations, medical care is prioritized, and patients may be admitted immediately. In such cases, a family member or attendant may submit a welfare request shortly after admission. A guarantor may be required to assume financial responsibility as part of the process.
